The DIPPS project is a publicly funded initiative developed through a multidisciplinary partnership between universities and industrial partners. It addresses the gap between telemedicine research and clinical practice in mental health. DIPPS delivers an integrated digital platform for remote monitoring, assessment, and support of patients with complex mental health conditions. The platform combines digital psychometric tools, structured self-monitoring diaries, and an artificial intelligence-based clinical decision support system. These components support clinicians in assessment, early risk identification, and care personalisation, while promoting patient engagement beyond traditional clinical settings. Currently under validation in collaboration with public health services, private clinical centres and research institutions, DIPPS provides a practical example of how telemedicine and functional assessment tools can be translated from theory into everyday clinical practice.
