The conference Telemedicine and functional assessments: from theory to practice (to be held in University of Pavia, Italy, on 6-7th February, 2026) aims to provide a forum for discussion among healthcare professionals, researchers and innovators involved in integrating technology into clinical care and assessment processes.

The aim is to explore how telemedicine and technology-supported functional assessments are moving from experimentation to everyday practice. The main focus is on scientific evidence, services already in place, technological tools and supporting organisational models.

We invite submissions of abstracts on:

· telemonitoring and remote assistance
· technology-supported functional assessments
· tele-rehabilitation and tele-prehabilitation
· tele-exercise adapted to people living with medical conditions
· wearable devices and sensors for assessment
· field implementation experiences, ethical, regulatory and training aspects

Accepted papers will be published online as conference abstracts in the journal "Giornale Italiano di Medicina del Lavoro ed Ergonomia (GIMLE)" indexed in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Index Medicus, and Excerpta Medica.
